We need to recognize that the primary purpose of the East Slopes is water and watershed protection.
The East Slopes are already busy providing deliverables: production of water, production of sustainable beef, and recreational opportunities.
Adding a large coal mine trajectory to this precious renewable system will cause significant and lasting damage. It will likely significantly damage the current land uses and natural capital of the East Slopes
